I love love Diaries ever since I was a kid. I'd buy a lot of them in different designs and colors. I tried collecting diaries y'know but yeah it didn't last long :). I kept a diary before; wrote stuffs on it when I was in 4th grade. Now, while I was cleaning and organizing my stuffs, I saw my old diary. It's a diary with a lock but I already lost the key.. Though, I've learned way back then that when you lost your diary key, you could just use a scissor to like twist it up, and it'll open. SO yeah yeah... I read it and I laughed and giggled the whole time readin' it. It was a cutesy diary, I wrote about how my heart ached & beats back then. Funny :)

Now, I've been watching Vampire Diaires.

Guess what? I'm in love with Damon Salvatore=Ian Somerhalder.

And I've been inspired by Elena Gilbert to keep a diary once again.

I guess it'd be a good idea because sometimes I just love to let a lot of things go out from my mind.

You just cant keep a lot. I can't.

Hehehe

Thus, my dad , bro and I went to the mall awhile ago and I bought some writing supplies (i'll be attending a review this Thurs) and a JOURNAL! I really had a hard time choosing which design of journal shall I pick.

P.S. I'll be buying a padlock for it. I have to like do something for it to be locked (tie on a rope or whatever, lol). I also need a good hiding place for it (before, my mom saw something I wrote on a piece of paper when we had a fight and she got more mad at me because of the stuffs I wrote (lol).

I also get some hesitation in writing all my thoughts to it because there are stuffs that are better hidden on our brains. TRUE. But i'll try to be honest as possible.

I might be the next ANNE FRANK!?!?!?!? WTF... nonsense. lol

Tonight, I'll be writing a lot of things on it.

Hail-oh! It's the 21st century and as you can see, hear, and feel, there has been a lot of buzz about our environment and such for the past YEARS (exaggeration needed) 'till now.

Before, I've been hearing a lot of news about the things that are happening on our environment and I actually thought that it'd be cured/solved in no less than a year. But hey, things are getting bad. ->Worse
Whenever I turn on the t.v., I can always hear people (professionals to commoners) raging about our environment.

You may agree or not but most of the time, the discussions and stuffs is all about Global Warming.

*cries*

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation.

Most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century has been caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases, which result from human activities.

Well, from my thorough Google research *coughs* *coughs*

We, humans, are most of the time involved to the production of carbon emissions. HOWEVER, not just with carbon emissions but we are very much taking part in ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION, which is not good.

I'd like to consider it as a crime to our nature or somewhat close to it.

It's because, our nature, the Earth is a gazillion important to us. We are LIVING here on EARTH, the land, everything, its resources, -we are using. Therefore, we should TAKE GOOD CARE to it, not ABUSE it.

[I don't really have to say lots of stuffs about why we should take care of our environment because we all know (even toddlers do) that we should take care of our mother nature. Nothing to argue about the FACT that we should take care and love our environment.]

Unfortunately, a lot of us had made wrong choices/decisions in taking care of our environment. Some has forgotten, some just forgets. Y'know, typical "i-didn't-know", "oh really?", "ooops, you should've told me", "errrr..done it", "just ONCE". Pfffffttt.

In terms of taking care of the environment

many has chosen to go to the right -> route.

& when I say right, it's the direction on the image...not the RIGHT/CORRECT. LOL pun Unintended

In fact, even though many are talking about it, only a few our aware and actually doing something for it.

But..... Wait, it's not yet over! We can still make a CHANGE! We can be ENVIRONMENTALLY AWARE! We can still make a DIFFERENCE! We can still help our ENVIRONMENT!

....without doing OH-SO-DIFFICULT-THAT'S-SO-COMPLICATED THINGS!

but still, contributing in making a difference.

It's an application that promotes environmental awareness.

It's also fun and cool because it gives out tips on how to conserve the energy or lower carbon emissions. "

I have been playing this game and suggesting it to my friends!

They liked and I loved it!

Now, I'm gonna share to you some tips on how to save the environment!

It's really easy-trust me!

SIDE NOTE: I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA BEHIND ALTER SPACE BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THAT MANY OF US, FILIPINOS ARE ALREADY VERY REACHABLE "ONLINE". A LOT OF US SPEND OUR TIME ONLINE, ESPECIALLY ON FACEBOOK. WITH ALTER SPACE APP BEING LAUNCHED IN FACEBOOK, WE CAN EXPLORE IT MORE AND ENJOY IT! AS WELL AS, LEARN MORE.

1.)The all time famous -> 3R's! Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

Be wise! Choose reusable products instead of those disposable ones!

Trivia: I've been recycling papers ever since! I don't know maybe because I want to make a difference but I am actually recycling papers since then. I don't like throwing and wasting papers so I always make something good out of it or something creative or just naturally reuse it! Like if you have some extra sheets of paper which had stains or something, crumpled probably. You can use it as a scratch or something really creative. paper machet? origami? any! (lol to my oh so mind)

TIP: You can reuse containers for food storage.

My mom has this pancit canton and sardine boxes, & instead of throwing it, I recycled it and made it like storage boxes for my stuffs. I also covered it with used gift wrapping paper ( whenever I receive gifts, I don't tear like a cat the wrappers)

Use tumblers or water bottles instead of plastic bottles. Plastic bottles are non-biodegradable.

2.) Use LEDS instead of other light bulbs

Leds uses less power and it actually lasts longer!

3.) LCD screens!

Omg I've learned from Alter Space that if ever you buy t.v., you can consider buying an LCD because it saves more energy -up to 200%! WOW! you can save loads of pesos from it!

4.) Walk baby, WALK!

Yes, you gotta walk! Cars emitt carbon! Aside from saving gasoline, you can also exercise and have a fit and healthy lifestyle! Walking or even biking is great! You can enjoy the nature especially by walking. Have a fun walk! It's actually fun to walk with your family or friends! A bonding!

Trivia: I go to the gym daily (you got it!) and my 1st jeepney stop is somewhat quite near-far to my gym. Others choose to ride a motorcycle but hey baby, you can just see me walking going to the gym! Hehe :) Aside from saving P14.00 back and forth, I've also done a 5-10 minute walking exercise. Isn't that Great!

In terms of being thrifty, I've been going to the gym for almost 4 weeks already! So, if we multiply 14 by 24 days then *drum roll* I have had actually saved almost 336 PESOS! What the? I never thought I've had saved a lot of Monnneeey! Ka-CHING! SEE that!?!

5.) Save WATER!

Instead of using the shower, you can actually use the TABO and timba-> pail and dipper because obviously, it saves more water. You just get the right (?) amount of water, unlike when you shower, when the water is everywhere! Lol. We have a shower at home but I love my timba and tabo(pail and dipper) convenient and better for the environment! Do you have those?

When brushing your teeth, you should use a glass and fill it with tap water instead of having running water when you brush your teeth. I used to have running water and ughhh, my conscience ..my conscience.. Save water!
Fix . Fix. Water Leaks!
Finding water leaks can save you water, which means saving money on water and sewer bills.

6.) Save Energy!

Do not always turn on your lights even during daytime.. Hello, it's daytime and you still need LIGHTS? *facepalm* Use natural lightning! Open your windows! Natural lightning does not consume power! saves energy *winks*

Unplug your electronics when you're not using them! I swear, you should unplug them to your wall; chargers, t.v., etc. Because they still consume energy!

> If you leave your computer for a minute or two, just stanby it, rather than shutting it down then turning it on again. Hassle and Energy consuming! (though some of us might think that stanby mode is actually more energy consuming than shutting and turning it on again. lol, but let me remind you..only for a short moment don't leave it on standby for like an hour or more! Madness!

Note: Standby MODE still consumes power. So, if you plan to leave your electronics for hours, better turn it off and unplug it!

TIP: During blackout/brownout, it's best to unplug your electronics (especially those that were left on) but it's better to SWITCH OFF your main power switch. It's because one has advised us that during blackout, the meter of your main power switch (the one that calculates the watts of your electricity consumption) will be like in shock and calculate fast when you turn on everything directly. Thus, it's best to leave it for 5 minutes. :) Save!

Since it's summer, undoubtedly it's quite hot in the tropical Philippines. So, I suggest for you to use fans instead of using your electric fans!

My fan and I.. I swear, i have a lot of fans at home. Fans for the win!

note: Efficient energy use supporting technological change might help reduce excess carbon dioxide in Earth's atmosphere

7.) Canvas Bags!

Use canvas bags instead of Plastics bags.

Malls around the Philippines are actually promoting this bags. One mall in our city, has this M.O.B. my own bag! It's held every Wednesdays wherein you can get discounts/points if you bring your own bag for shopping every Wednesday. I am also glad that many people are actually using canvas bags!

Fact: Plastics are non Biodegradable. They don't break down or if they will, it'll take YEARS -hundreds, thousands, name it!

8.) Eat healthily!

Don't eat meat a lot. Eat local or organic foods. Eat low on the food chain.

9.) Throw your trash to the TRASH BIN. Don't LITTER!

Don't Litter. And if there are no trash bins near you, you can put your trash in your pocket or either in your bag (I often do this!).

10.) Plant a TREE!

When I was a freshman in high school, we had a tree panting activity. Wherein, all students helped in plating trees around the campus.

Anyways, let's move on!

Recently, we also had a fun run in our school. There was a registration fee (P50.00) and in every participant, one tree will be planted near the Cagayan de Oro river and the tree will be named after the participant! Yay! I did participate in the fun run! It was fun!

I've tried planting plants and trees and it's absolutely worth it!

Whenever you have the time, you can enjoy the leisure in planting a tree. It's so much better to plant together with your family or friends! Start digging.
